Did you know that what is traditionally called Christmas in today’s world actually predates Christ perhaps 2000 years, originating in ancient Egypt and ancient Babylon?
In fact the Bible mentions cutting down a tree, setting it up in the home, and decorating it with silver and gold, in a book written around 600 B.C. (see Jeremiah 10:3-4).
The question begs: if the observance of this ancient holiday predates Christ by so many centuries, and is actually pagan in origin, then why is His name attached to it as if it had anything to do with Him?
